Why Vampires Never Die

Importance of this article:

This article represents the belief that we have once again regain spiritual humility through vampires. They are always representing the eternal in us. It is also conveying the message that science has become the modern man’s superstition and it is making us believe in the things that we cannot see.

The quote that stroked my mind was, “As a seductive figure, the vampire is as flexible and polyvalent as ever.”

This quote is something that is making me think deep because nowadays vampire has become the center of attraction for all the things happening in our surrounding. They are representing the problems of us and the entire world which is making them the center of attraction.

Summary

The two main branches of vampire that John Polidori fused in his story “The Vampire” are as a romantic hero and as an undead monster. The author called the relation between the vampires of his story and Lord Byron ambivalence because Lord Byron was dashing and brilliant while the poor doctor had drab talent and unremarkable physique even though both of them were the superstars of the era and both were the resident of the lakeside villa. Nowadays vampires tap into our every need like soap opera story lines, sexual liberation, noir detective fiction, etc. These myth twitters promiscuously to serve all avenues of life from cereal boxes to romantic fiction. The fact pace of technology accelerates its viral dispersion in our culture. Here, in the text they are talking about Dracula, the main reason for its success was its appearance at a time of great technological revolution. The narrative is full of new gadgets and cutting-edge science.

Response to the article:

Vampires change through the ages, mirroring our apprehensions and our conflicts. They are substantially more sexual and separated from religion.Vampires of today never again dread of crosses, sacred water or garlic. They have superpowers like charm human, blood that could fix human and moment move starting with one area then onto the next. They are the reflection of our society.
